Amazing work done by #CleanUpTheQuays volunteers at the weekend
We started at 10am at the Co-op and in total collected 85 BAGS OF RUBBISH!
A Fantastic effort by the team, Salford Council were informed, and the waste team will be on their way to clean it all up!
Clean Up The Quays is a community initiative with a full policy framework to coincide with it. The Salford Quays Liberal Democrats have had success recently with;
- Forcing developers to clean up their patch at Erie Basin, Clippers Quay and outside the Alchemist
- New bin instillations along Waterways
- Policy change on graffiti across the ward for a team to proactively come out and clean
